Custom Web Development & WordPress Builds
I build custom static sites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. I also build WordPress sites with custom themes written from scratch. No off-the-shelf templates. No page builder bloat. Every line of code is intentional, and every site is built to load fast, rank well, and convert visitors into customers.
What I Build
- Custom static sites built with hand-coded HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP for maximum speed and full control over every element
- WordPress with custom themes built from scratch to match your design and business requirements, not hacked together from a template
- Landing pages that are conversion-focused for ad campaigns, product launches, and lead generation
- E-commerce stores powered by WooCommerce and custom shopping experiences built to handle real transaction volume
Whether you need a simple five-page business site or a complex application with user accounts and dynamic content, I write clean, maintainable code that does exactly what your business needs. Nothing more, nothing less. If you want to explore what the right approach might be for your project, book a free discovery call.
WordPress vs Custom Builds
This is the first question I work through with every client. Both options have real advantages, and the right answer depends on your business.
WordPress makes sense when you need to update content frequently without touching code. Blog posts, product listings, team bios, event pages. If your team needs to log in and make changes on their own, WordPress with a custom theme gives you that power without sacrificing performance. I build custom themes from scratch, so you get the editorial flexibility of WordPress without the bloat that comes from off-the-shelf themes and drag-and-drop builders.
A custom static build makes sense when your content does not change often and speed is the priority. Business sites, landing pages, portfolio sites, and service pages all perform better as hand-coded HTML. There are fewer moving parts, fewer security vulnerabilities, and faster load times. Static sites are also cheaper to host and easier to deploy.
I never push one approach over the other. I look at your content update frequency, your team's technical comfort, and your long-term goals. Then I recommend the option that serves your business best. Some projects even use a hybrid approach with static pages for the core site and WordPress powering a blog or news section.
Built for Performance
Speed is not an afterthought. It is the foundation. Every site I build is optimized from day one for Core Web Vitals, fast load times, and clean markup that search engines can parse without guessing. Technical SEO is baked into the architecture. That means proper heading hierarchy, semantic HTML, structured data, optimized images, and minimal render-blocking resources.
The goal is not just a website that looks good. It is a revenue-generating web property that ranks, loads instantly, and turns traffic into money. If you want deeper technical SEO work beyond the build, I offer that as a standalone service as well.
Web Performance and Core Web Vitals
Google measures your site's user experience through three Core Web Vitals. These metrics directly affect your search rankings and your conversion rates.
LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) measures how quickly the main content on your page becomes visible. If your hero image or headline takes more than 2.5 seconds to appear, visitors leave before they even see what you offer. I optimize images, prioritize above-the-fold content, and eliminate unnecessary scripts to hit fast LCP scores consistently.
CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) measures how much your page content jumps around as it loads. You have seen this before. You start reading a page and then an ad loads and pushes everything down. That frustration costs you customers. I reserve space for images, fonts, and dynamic content so the layout stays stable from the first render.
INP (Interaction to Next Paint) measures how quickly your site responds when someone clicks a button, taps a link, or fills out a form. Sluggish interactions feel broken. I keep JavaScript lean, defer non-critical scripts, and test interaction responsiveness across devices to make sure your site feels fast.
These are not abstract metrics. Sites that pass Core Web Vitals see measurably higher rankings and better conversion rates. Every site I build targets green scores across all three.
E-Commerce and WooCommerce
I build online stores that are designed to sell, not just display products. For most small and mid-size businesses, WooCommerce is the right platform. It is flexible, well-supported, and avoids the monthly fees of hosted platforms like Shopify.
Payment gateways. I integrate Stripe, PayPal, Square, and other payment processors so your customers can check out smoothly. I configure the gateway that makes sense for your business model, whether that is one-time purchases, subscriptions, or deposits.
Product catalogs. Whether you have 10 products or 10,000, I build catalog structures that are easy to manage and easy for customers to browse. Filters, categories, search, and clean product pages that load fast and display well on every device.
Checkout optimization. Most cart abandonment happens at checkout. I streamline the process by reducing form fields, offering guest checkout, displaying trust signals, and making the payment step feel fast and secure. Small changes here can mean thousands of dollars in recovered revenue.
If your store needs more than WooCommerce can offer, I also build custom e-commerce solutions with direct API integrations to payment processors and inventory systems.
Mobile-First Responsive Design
More than half of all web traffic comes from phones. I design and build every site starting with the mobile experience first, then expanding to tablet and desktop. This is not just resizing elements to fit smaller screens. It is rethinking navigation, content hierarchy, and interaction patterns for touch-based devices.
Mobile-first means your most important content loads first on the devices most of your visitors are using. It means buttons are large enough to tap without frustration. It means forms work smoothly on a phone keyboard. It means images scale without slowing down page load on cellular connections.
I test on real devices, not just browser simulators. Every breakpoint gets attention. Every interaction gets tested. The result is a site that works beautifully whether your visitor is on an iPhone, an Android tablet, or a widescreen monitor.
If your current site is not performing well on mobile, that is likely costing you both rankings and revenue. Reach out and I will take a look.
My Own Properties
I build and operate my own websites to monetize organic traffic. That means I am not just building sites for clients. I am building them for myself, too. The same performance standards, the same SEO discipline, the same conversion-focused architecture. When your livelihood depends on your sites performing, you do not cut corners.
You get the same standards I hold for my own revenue-generating properties.
